What CellDecide collects, why, how long we keep it, and what we explicitly do not collect.

Privacy updated · 2026-05-14

CellDecide is an evidence-first informational site. We collect as little as we can. The only personal information we collect from a visitor is an email address, and only when the visitor types one into our signup form. This page lists exactly what we collect, what we do with it, and what we never collect.

Email signups

When you sign up for our email list, we collect only your email address. We do not ask for your name, your medical history, your diagnosis, your symptoms, your condition, or any other health information at signup. The form is a single field.

Page-source tagging

We tag email subscribers based on the page they signed up from, to help us understand reader interests and serve relevant educational content. We do not collect medical history or diagnosis information.

As a worked example: if you sign up from a page about stem-cell therapy in Thailand, your subscription gets a tag like “thailand” that helps us send you Thailand-relevant educational emails rather than, say, orthopedic-only content. The tag is the page you signed up from. You did not type it. We do not infer your medical history from the tag, and we do not store one.

We use your email to send the lead-magnet you requested at signup, the educational email series associated with that signup, and occasional updates on what is new on the site. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing removes you from our active list immediately. We retain suppression-list records (a one-way list of email addresses that have unsubscribed) so we do not accidentally re-add you; we do not use suppression-list records for any other purpose.

Email provider

Email signups are processed and stored by Mailchimp(Intuit Mailchimp), our v1 email service provider. Your email address, your signup date, and your page-source tag are stored in Mailchimp under our account. Mailchimp's own privacy policy applies to that storage; see the Intuit Mailchimp privacy statement.

Cookies

Cookie usage on CellDecide is minimal. We use a small session-state mechanism (typically sessionStorage rather than a true cookie) to remember when you have dismissed the email-signup band so we do not re-show it during the same session. We do not use cookies for personalization, advertising, or behavioral tracking.

Third-party services we link to (such as Mailchimp's hosted unsubscribe page) may set their own cookies governed by their respective privacy policies.

Analytics

CellDecideuses Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate site traffic — page views, referrers, country-level location. GA4 collects anonymized aggregate data and does not identify individual visitors to us. Google's own privacy policy applies to data GA4 sees; see Google's privacy policy.

Third-party services

CellDecide uses the following third-party services to operate the site:

  • Mailchimp — email-list provider. Stores subscriber email + page-source tag. See Intuit Mailchimp privacy statement.
  • Cloudflare — content-delivery network and hosting. Cloudflare logs aggregate request data (timestamp, IP, requested URL, country) for security and performance reasons. See Cloudflare privacy policy.
  • Google Fonts — typography (Newsreader, Source Serif 4, Inter Tight, JetBrains Mono). Google may see the IP address of font requests. See Google's privacy policy.

What we do not do

  • We do not share or sell email addresses to third parties. Your email stays with us (and with Mailchimp under our account, as our processor).
  • We do not collect health information. We do not ask for your medical history, diagnosis, symptoms, or condition at signup, and we do not infer it from your browsing.
  • We do not run behavioral retargeting pixels. There is no Facebook Pixel, no Google Ads remarketing tag, and no equivalent retargeting infrastructure on this site.
  • We do not auto-migrate education subscribers to clinic-promotion lists. Any future clinic-related email surface (Phase 2) is opt-in only with an explicit, separate consent moment.

Your rights

You can ask us, at any time, to:

  • Access — tell you what we have about you (in v1, this will only ever be your email address, signup date, and page-source tag).
  • Delete — remove your email and any associated record from our active list and from Mailchimp.
  • Export — give you a copy of the data we hold about you in a portable format.
  • Unsubscribe — every email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email us directly.

How to reach us

Email admin@celldecide.com, or use the form at /contact. Requests are processed within a reasonable timeframe (typically under 7 days; faster for unsubscribe).
